Description

The State College Area School District is currently accepting applications for a Predictable-Term Substitute Special Education Teacher at Park Forest Elementary School to begin immediately and remain until the end of the 2023-2024 school year.

 

The ability to establish relationships with students and collaborate with colleagues is critical to success in this position. The successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to diversity and recognize equity and inclusivity as the foundations to prepare each student for lifelong success, our mission.

 

The District seeks professionals who are student-focused and have knowledge of both theory and practice specific to the evaluation of all types of learners, with a focus on students identified for AS/ES support.  Through the organization of individual, small group, classroom, or school-wide sessions, the special education teacher will focus on effective research-based strategies to support the child and all team members.  The District is searching for candidates who demonstrate a commitment to professional growth and development and also possess a variety of professional experiences.
