Reporting to the Executive Assistant to the Superintendent and with a leadership line in support of the Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction, the Executive Assistant provides high-level executive, confidential support to the Curriculum and Instruction Office representing elementary and secondary education at the District. The Executive Assistant works independently,  proactively anticipating needs and following through, often within tight deadlines. This position provides administrative support to the Supervisor and the Assistant Director of Curriculum and Instruction ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and promptly. This includes managing phone calls, scheduling, calendar coordination, and email correspondence as needed.  Coordinates internal and external communications including responding on behalf of the Supervisor of Curriculum to personal and confidential correspondence and phone calls.  Manages all aspects of professional learning, including handling Act 48 questions, approval, and managing information in the professional learning platform, trade time, and after-school professional meetings.  Enters and processes all extended contracts for curriculum writing and professional development.  Collaborates with multiple units to assist in the resolution of issues and/or concerns; refers to appropriate District department(s) and/or resources.  Supports events and meetings by assisting with planning, setup, and coordination. Ensures that necessary resources and materials are available and collaborates with both internal and external stakeholders as needed.  Proofreads, publishess/prints, and distributes all District curriculum documents.  Uses technology efficiently and takes initiative to learn new technology to support the work in Curriculum and Instruction and to improve processes.  Coordinates with the Financial Officer on financial matters; prepares and monitors budget information.  Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction and/or the Assistant Director of Curriculum and Instruction.
