The State College Area School District has an immediate opening for a full-time Maintenance Worker in the Bus Garage.  This is a full-time, twelve-month position with daily work hours from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM with a half hour lunch period.

This position reports to the Head Bus Mechanic and is responsible for bus cleaning and performing routine maintenance such as oil changes, lubrications, tire changes and incidental equipment repairs.  Other responsibilities include cleaning the bus garage facility; assisting other bus mechanics; traveling to various parts suppliers; and assisting with snow removal.

Applicant must be at least 19 years of age, have a valid PA Driver’s License, and have a safe driving record.  Candidates holding a Pennsylvania school bus operator’s license and/or having some experience in a vehicle repair operation will receive first consideration.
